Long Haul Truck Driver


We are currently hiring a Long Haul Truck Driver for our Akron-based trucking company. As a truck driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across long distances in a timely and safe manner. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1100$ per week.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive trucks to transport goods over long distances, sometimes crossing state or international borders
- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform regular maintenance checks
- Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers regarding pick-up and delivery schedules
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while on the road
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries made

Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a long haul truck driver
- Clean driving record with no accidents or violations in the past 5 years
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds

Preference will be given to candidates who:
- Are Indian nationals or have experience working with Indian companies/clients
- Are proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Have their own visa/work permit for the US
