Hotel Sales Manager for Indian Market in Nairobi
We are in search of a highly skilled and motivated Hotel Sales Manager to join our team in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality industry and a deep understanding of the Indian market. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to attract and retain Indian guests, as well as maintaining relationships with travel agents and tour operators. You will also be responsible for analyzing sales data, forecasting future trends, and setting sales targets. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a strong ability to build and maintain relationships. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1800$ per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to attract Indian guests and increase revenue
- Maintain relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and other key partners in the Indian market
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Set sales targets and work towards achieving them within given timelines
- Conduct market research to stay updated on the latest trends in the Indian market
- Create promotional materials targeting the Indian market, including social media campaigns, email marketing, etc.
- Attend relevant trade shows, events, and networking opportunities to promote our hotel to potential Indian clients
- Collaborate with other departments within the hotel to ensure a seamless guest experience for our Indian guests
- Prepare reports on sales performance for management review
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in hotel sales or related industry
- Proven track record of successfully attracting Indian guests and increasing revenue
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (knowledge of an additional language such as Hindi or Gujarati is a plus)
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
- Knowledge of current market trends in India
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales software
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
