Job Title: Executive Chef
Location: Bungoma, Kenya


We are hiring an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Bungoma, Kenya. As the head of our kitchen, you will be responsible for creating and implementing our menu, managing a team of chefs and kitchen staff, and ensuring the overall success of our restaurant.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a creative and innovative menu that meets the needs and preferences of our customers
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including portion control, quality control, and presentation
- Manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations in the kitchen
- Train and mentor new employees in culinary techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Create daily specials and seasonal menus to keep offerings fresh and exciting
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and ingredients to continuously improve our menu

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting (minimum 5 years)
- Culinary degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Understanding of food costs, budgeting, inventory management, and profit/loss analysis
- Passion for creativity in cooking with an eye for detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills

Salary: $1000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
