Executive Chef


We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Bungoma, Kenya. As an Indian cuisine restaurant, we are looking for a chef who specializes in Indian dishes and has a passion for creating unique and delicious meals. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working as an Executive Chef and must be able to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that showcase Indian cuisine while also incorporating local flavors
- Manage the kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Oversee food preparation and ensure quality standards are met
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with front of house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for customers
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
- Develop new recipes and continuously strive to improve existing dishes

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as an Executive Chef, preferably in an Indian cuisine restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to effectively work with staff and interact with customers
- Ability to adapt to changing menus and adjust recipes accordingly

Salary:
$1300 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location:
Bungoma, Kenya (no English required)

Education:
Degree or diploma in culinary arts or a related field is preferred but not required.

Preference:
We welcome all qualified candidates but preference will be given to those who have graduated from culinary school.
