Office Assistant
We are seeking a hard-working and organized Office Assistant to join our team in Bungoma. As an Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the office staff and ensuring the smooth operation of daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department
- Answer and transfer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain office supplies and equipment by monitoring inventory levels and placing orders as needed
- Organize and maintain office files, both paper and electronic
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, as well as prepare outgoing mail
- Schedule appointments and meetings for staff members
- Assist with basic accounting tasks, such as processing invoices and maintaining financial records
- Perform other general administrative duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in office administration is a plus
- Fluent in spoken English; knowledge of other languages is an asset but not required
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Previous experience in an office setting is preferred but not required
