Blast Furnace Operator


We are seeking a skilled and reliable Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in Bungoma, Kenya. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnaces used in the production of iron. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the furnace, meeting production targets, and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Operate blast furnace according to established procedures and safety guidelines
- Monitor equipment and make adjustments as needed for optimal performance
- Load raw materials into the furnace using appropriate methods
- Maintain proper temperature, pressure, and flow levels within the furnace
- Conduct routine inspections and identify any potential issues or malfunctions
- Troubleshoot problems as they arise and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Keep accurate records of production data, maintenance logs, and other relevant information
- Adhere to all safety protocols and report any safety hazards or incidents immediately

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred
- Proven experience as a Blast Furnace Operator or similar role in a steel production plant
- Knowledge of blast furnace operations, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and schematics
- Good physical stamina with the ability to work in hot temperatures for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail with strong analytical skills for troubleshooting issues
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers

Salary: 1000$ per month
