Blast Furnace Operator

We are seeking a skilled Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in Bungoma, Kenya. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnace equipment to melt and refine iron ore into pig iron. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided and is open to both Kenyan and foreign applicants.

Responsibilities:
- Operate blast furnace equipment, including charging, tapping, and monitoring temperature
- Maintain proper levels of materials in the furnace, such as coke, limestone, and scrap iron
- Monitor and adjust furnace settings to ensure efficient production
- Inspect furnace for any malfunctions or defects and make necessary repairs
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Keep detailed records of production data and maintenance logs

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Blast Furnace Operator
- Knowledge of furnace operations and maintenance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Physically fit to handle heavy machinery and work in extreme temperatures
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Salary: $1000/month (negotiable based on experience)
