Smelter Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled Smelter Technician to join our team in Bungoma. As a Smelter Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining smelting equipment to process raw materials and produce various metals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate smelting equipment, such as furnaces, kilns, and converters, to melt raw materials and produce metals
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow rates of smelting processes to ensure optimal production
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any issues that may arise
- Analyze samples of molten metal to determine chemical composition and make adjustments to the smelting process as needed
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced and quality control measures

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in metallurgy or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Smelter Technician in a similar setting
- Familiarity with operating smelting equipment and knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with smelting equipment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if needed

Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable depending on experience)

This is a full-time position without accommodation provided. Applicants must have their own valid work visa for Bungoma or be willing to obtain one.
