Job Title: Excavator Operator

We are hiring an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team in Nakuru, Kenya. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and machinery to excavate, move and grade earth or other materials. You will work closely with other construction workers and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators to dig trenches, foundations, and other earthworks
- Load and unload materials using the excavator
- Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and procedures
- Communicate with other workers on the job site to coordinate tasks
- Complete daily pre-operation checks on equipment
- Keep accurate records of daily operations, maintenance, and fuel usage

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an excavator operator
- Knowledge of different types of excavators and their functions
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or plans for excavation projects
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Physical strength and stamina to operate heavy equipment for extended periods of time
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
