Indian Cuisine Chef
A renowned restaurant in Nakuru is seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Cuisine Chef to join our team. As an Indian Cuisine Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing authentic Indian dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation. You will also be responsible for managing the kitchen staff and ensuring smooth operations in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus featuring a variety of authentic Indian dishes
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to traditional Indian recipes
- Ensure all dishes meet high standards of taste, quality, and presentation
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Adhere to all food safety standards and regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Indian Cuisine Chef or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine, ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques
- Ability to create unique menus featuring traditional Indian dishes with a modern twist
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
Salary:
$1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)
