Crane Operator

We are a construction company located in Nakuru, Kenya and we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Operator to join our team. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating different types of cranes to move materials, equipment, and other objects on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of cranes including tower cranes, mobile cranes, and overhead cranes
- Read and interpret load charts to determine safe lifting capacities
- Inspect cranes before use to ensure they are in proper working condition
- Rig loads properly and safely using appropriate equipment
- Communicate effectively with other workers on the job site to coordinate lifts
- Monitor weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to ensure safe operation of the crane
- Keep accurate records of crane operations, maintenance, and inspections
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies at all times

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Crane Operator in the construction industry
- Valid crane operator certification
- Knowledge of different types of cranes and their capabilities
- Ability to read load charts and perform basic calculations
- Familiarity with rigging techniques and equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical fitness as the job may require standing for long periods of time
- Biometric passport preferred but not required

Salary: $1500 per month
