Carpenter for Construction Projects in Nakuru, Kenya
We are hiring a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team for construction projects in Nakuru, Kenya. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for building, repairing, and installing various wooden structures and fixtures on construction sites. You will work closely with the construction team to ensure that all carpentry work is completed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate should have experience in carpentry and the ability to read blueprints and follow safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and shape wood pieces according to specifications
- Install structures such as floors, doors, windows, and cabinets
- Repair or replace damaged wooden structures and fixtures
- Read blueprints to determine materials needed and project layout
- Follow safety guidelines when operating tools and equipment
- Collaborate with the construction team to ensure timely completion of projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter in a construction setting
- Ability to read blueprints and use power tools safely
- Knowledge of different wood types, measurements, and techniques for cutting/shaping wood
- Experience with hand tools such as saws, hammers, drills, etc.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination
- Excellent time management skills
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1300 per month.
Location:
This position is based in Nakuru, Kenya.
Preference:
Preference will be given to candidates of Indian nationality currently living in Kenya. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
Education:
No formal education is required for this position. However, a certification or diploma in Carpentry or related field will be an advantage.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience working as a Carpenter in a construction setting.
Language Skills:
English proficiency is not required for this position.
Other Requirements:
This position is open to students looking for part-time work in the construction field. On-the-job training will be provided.
