Collections Specialist

As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing overdue accounts and collecting payments from customers. You will be expected to communicate professionally and effectively with customers to resolve any outstanding issues and negotiate payment plans. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have experience in collections or customer service, and possess strong problem-solving skills. This is a full-time position based in Nakuru with a salary of 1700$, accommodation provided, and free visa and ticket for Canadian candidates. Students are also welcome to apply.

Collections Specialist Responsibilities:
- Monitor overdue accounts and contact customers to collect payments
- Negotiate payment plans with customers who are unable to pay in full
- Document all communication with customers in a professional manner
- Update customer records with accurate payment information
- Identify and resolve any issues that may prevent timely payments
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer disputes or issues
- Provide regular updates on collection progress to management
- Adhere to all company policies and guidelines regarding collections

Collections Specialist Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in collections or customer service role
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to remain professional while handling difficult situations or conversations
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with collection software is an asset
