Florist for a Busy Flower Shop in Mombasa, Kenya

We are in need of an experienced and creative Florist to join our team at our busy flower shop in Mombasa, Kenya. As a Florist, you will be responsible for creating beautiful floral arrangements and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1600$ per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and create unique and visually appealing floral arrangements for various occasions such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, funerals, etc.
- Assist customers in selecting the perfect flowers and arrangements based on their preferences and budget
- Maintain inventory of fresh flowers and supplies, ensuring they are properly stored and rotated
- Keep the flower shop clean and tidy at all times
- Handle transactions accurately using a cash register
- Provide excellent customer service by answering any questions or concerns and resolving any issues promptly
- Collaborate with other team members to come up with new ideas for floral designs and promotions

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a professional florist
- Strong knowledge of different types of flowers, their seasons, care instructions and design techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (knowledge of Indian languages is an advantage)
- Experience working with international clients is preferred
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- A positive attitude with strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy objects (flower buckets, vases)
