Executive Chef - Mombasa
We are currently hiring an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team in Mombasa. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurant and ensuring high-quality food and service to our guests. This position requires a highly creative individual with excellent leadership skills and a passion for food.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations
- Create new dishes and menus while maintaining the quality of existing dishes
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs
- Collaborate with management to develop business strategies and achieve financial goals
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for kitchen staff
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and time-management skills
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage a busy kitchen efficiently
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
Salary: 1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Mombasa (Preference given to Egyptian nationals)
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (12 pass)
Language Requirement: English proficiency is not required but considered an asset.
