Baker for Indian Cuisine in Mombasa
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Baker with experience in Indian cuisine to join our team in Mombasa. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of traditional Indian dishes, including naan, roti, and samosas. You must have a passion for creating delicious and authentic Indian food, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare doughs and batters according to traditional Indian recipes
- Operate baking equipment such as tandoors, ovens, and griddles
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure high-quality products
- Create new and innovative Indian dishes while adhering to cultural authenticity
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Baker with knowledge of Indian cuisine
- Ability to create various types of breads, pastries, and snacks from scratch
- Familiarity with traditional cooking methods such as tandoor and clay oven cooking
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and practices
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with flexible working hours. The salary for this role is $1300 per month. We also offer accommodation, free visa sponsorship, and airfare ticket reimbursement for our employees.
