Blast Furnace Operator

The Blast Furnace Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnaces in a safe and efficient manner. They will work in a fast-paced, industrial environment and must be able to follow strict safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience working with heavy machinery and possess strong technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate blast furnaces according to established procedures
- Monitor furnace operations, including temperature, pressure, and flow rates
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed at all times
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including material usage and waste levels
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes
- Train new employees on blast furnace operations as needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred
- At least 2 years of experience operating blast furnaces or similar heavy machinery
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Strong technical skills, including the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Salary: $1500/month

Location: Mombasa, Kenya

Preference: This position is open to all qualified candidates regardless of nationality or location. However, preference will be given to African applicants who are fluent in English and have a valid biometric passport.

Note: This is a full-time position without accommodation provided. Candidates must be willing to relocate if necessary.
