Sous Chef
As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the head chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food to customers. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety, as well as supervising and training kitchen staff. This role requires strong leadership skills, creativity in menu planning, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist head chef in menu planning, food preparation, and cooking
- Ensure food quality and presentation meets restaurant standards
- Maintain proper inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on food safety, hygiene, and kitchen procedures
- Manage kitchen operations during head chef's absence
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Creativity in menu planning with an understanding of current culinary trends
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in English
Salary: $1400 per month
