Executive Chef - Indian Cuisine (Mombasa)
Our 5-star hotel in Mombasa is seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our Indian cuisine team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating authentic and high-quality dishes, as well as strong leadership skills to manage the kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the Indian cuisine kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Create new and innovative dishes while also maintaining traditional recipes
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, delegating tasks and ensuring high levels of quality and efficiency
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain stock levels
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a 5-star hotel or fine dining establishment
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine with the ability to create both traditional and modern dishes
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing kitchen staff
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Salary:
Salary for this position is $900 per month.
Location:
