Milling Machine Operator

We are a reputable company in Eldoret, seeking an experienced Milling Machine Operator to join our team. As a Milling Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining milling machines to shape and cut various materials. The ideal candidate will have previous experience operating milling machines and possess strong technical skills.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate milling machines to perform tasks such as drilling, boring, shaping, and cutting
- Select appropriate tools and materials for each job
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating milling machines
- Strong technical skills with the ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy materials, and operate machinery for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with different types of materials such as metal, wood, or plastic
- Familiarity with programming software for CNC milling machines
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues during production
