Carpenter - Malindi, Kenya


We have an urgent job opportunity for a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Malindi, Kenya. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1300 per month.

Requirements:
- Pakistani nationality preferred
- Must be able to work full-time without accommodation
- Visa sponsorship available
- Previous experience as a Carpenter preferred but not required

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and materials needed for projects
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, pencils and marking gauges
- Cut and shape materials using hand and power tools such as saws, chisels, drills and sanders
- Assemble or join materials using nails, screws or adhesives
- Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings and trim according to specifications
- Repair or replace damaged or worn structures using hand tools or power tools
- Follow safety procedures at all times while working on job sites

Skills/Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role (preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Proficient in using manual and power tools effectively
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy equipment/materials
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
