Seamstress


We are in need of a skilled Seamstress to join our team in Malindi. As a Seamstress, you will be responsible for creating high-quality garments and ensuring that they meet our clients' specifications. Your role will involve measuring, cutting, and sewing fabrics to create custom-made clothing items. You should have excellent attention to detail and be able to work efficiently to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Take accurate measurements and record them for each client
- Select appropriate fabrics and materials for each garment
- Cut, sew, and assemble fabrics to create high-quality garments
- Make adjustments and alterations as needed to ensure a perfect fit
- Follow specific patterns or designs provided by clients or designers
- Collaborate with designers to bring their vision to life
- Inspect completed garments for any defects or imperfections
- Keep track of inventory and order new materials as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Seamstress or similar role
- Skilled in measuring, cutting, and sewing various types of fabrics
- Good knowledge of different types of sewing machines and equipment
- Ability to read patterns and follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Good time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

Preferred:
- Experience working with high-end or luxury clothing brands
- Familiarity with different types of fabrics and their properties
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Salary: 1400$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: This position is open to all nationalities but preference will be given to Pakistani or African candidates who are fluent in English.

Working hours: Part-time (flexible schedule)

Accommodation: This position does not include accommodation.

Other requirements:
Applicants must have a valid biometric passport and be able to provide proof of their legal right to work in Malindi. Previous experience is not required but preferred. We are looking for someone who is passionate about sewing and has a strong desire to learn and grow in this field.
