Typesetter

We are seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team in Mauren. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text, images, and other design elements to create visually appealing documents and materials. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Format text according to specific design guidelines and style guides
- Arrange images, graphics, and other design elements in an aesthetically pleasing manner
- Proofread and edit documents for accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with writers, editors, and designers to ensure quality of final product
- Use software programs such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress to layout documents
- Maintain strict adherence to project timelines and deadlines
- Make necessary revisions based on feedback from stakeholders
- Keep updated on industry trends and advancements in typesetting technology

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or in a related role
- Strong knowledge of typography, layout principles, and design software (Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress)
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in text or layout
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Solid understanding of printing processes and file preparation for print production
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field (preferred)
