Librarian

The Mauren Public Library is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference needs, and developing programs and events to promote literacy and education within the community.

Responsibilities:
- Manage library collection by cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries
- Develop engaging programs and events for all ages to promote literacy and education
- Maintain library budget and order new materials as needed
- Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and other libraries to develop partnerships
- Train library volunteers on library procedures and policies
- Keep up-to-date with current trends in literature, technology, and library services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Proficient in using technology for research purposes
