Indian Pastry Chef in Mauren, Switzerland
We are in search of a skilled Indian Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Mauren, Switzerland. As a pastry chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts that will leave our customers wanting more. You will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure the highest quality food is served to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Create new and innovative dessert dishes with an Indian twist
- Prepare and bake various types of desserts such as cakes, pastries, and pies
- Decorate desserts using different techniques to enhance presentation
- Ensure all desserts are prepared and presented according to established standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section of the kitchen
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably with an Indian cuisine background
- Creativity and attention to detail in dessert preparation and presentation
- Knowledge of traditional Indian spices, flavors, and ingredients used in desserts
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills for efficient production of desserts during peak hours
- Good communication skills to collaborate with other kitchen staff members
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent training preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Pastry Chef
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Familiarity with hygiene regulations and health codes
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1300$ per month along with additional benefits.
