Pastry Chef - Indian Cuisine
A luxurious Indian restaurant in Balzers is seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of delicious desserts and pastries inspired by traditional Indian flavors and techniques. You will work alongside our skilled culinary team to maintain high quality standards and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create unique and innovative dessert recipes that reflect the authentic flavors of Indian cuisine
- Prepare a range of desserts, including cakes, pastries, sweets, and other sweet treats
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of high quality
- Oversee the pastry section of the kitchen, including ordering supplies and managing inventory
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs
- Adhere to all hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus that complement main dishes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in an Indian restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Indian desserts and techniques
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new dessert ideas
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills with the ability to work well in a team environment
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
