Interpreter (English-Urdu) - Karachi, Pakistan


We are a global language services company seeking a highly skilled Interpreter to join our team in Karachi, Pakistan. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between English and Urdu speakers in various settings such as meetings, conferences, and legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken and written communication from English to Urdu and vice versa accurately and efficiently
- Ensure cultural sensitivity and accuracy in all interpretations
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Prepare for assignments by researching relevant terminology and topics
- Provide simultaneous or consecutive interpretation as needed
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and adapt interpretations accordingly
- Assist with document translation as needed

Requirements:
- Native fluency in both English and Urdu languages
- Proven experience as an interpreter or translator preferred but not required
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely
- Excellent listening skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
- Proficiency in using relevant technology such as interpretation equipment or translation software is a plus

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in linguistics, translation, or related field preferred but not required
- Certification or training in interpretation is a plus
- Familiarity with specific industries such as legal, medical, or business is a plus

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position based in Karachi. You will be required to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends depending on the project. This position does not include accommodation but offers competitive salary of 1500$ per month along with free visa sponsorship and airfare.
