Turner - Contract Position in Karachi, Pakistan



We are hiring a skilled Turner for a contract position to join our team in Karachi, Pakistan. As a Turner, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machines to shape and form metal parts according to specifications. You will also be required to inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machines such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine the specifications of the part
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal stock using measuring tools
- Select appropriate cutting tools and speeds for each operation
- Adjust machine controls to regulate factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth of cut
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality results
- Inspect finished parts for defects or imperfections using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot issues with machines or tools and recommend repairs or replacements as needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Turner in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings and blueprints
- Strong knowledge of different types of metalworking machines and tools
- Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work
- Good physical stamina with the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
