Database Administrator

The Database Administrator will be responsible for the overall performance, integrity and security of the company's databases. This includes planning, implementing, and maintaining database systems and ensuring their availability for users. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills in database design, management, and troubleshooting, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and implement database structures to support business needs
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data integrity and security through regular backups, updates, and access controls
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database usage for application performance
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as data purging and index rebuilding
- Proactively identify potential issues and provide solutions to improve database performance
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in database management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL) and SQL language
- Experience with database design, backup/recovery strategies, performance tuning, and security protocols
- Familiarity with cloud databases (e.g. AWS RDS) is a plus
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Salary: 1200$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Lahore (own visa jobs available)
