Sous Chef

As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the head chef in overseeing the kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food and service. You will work closely with the kitchen team to create and execute menus, maintain inventory and budget control, and ensure all food safety standards are met. You should have strong leadership skills and be able to effectively communicate with team members. Additionally, you must have a passion for cooking and be knowledgeable about various cuisines.

Responsibilities:
- Assist head chef in creating and executing menus that meet customer needs and preferences
- Oversee kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and timely production of food
- Maintain inventory levels and place orders for necessary ingredients and supplies
- Monitor food quality to ensure consistency and compliance with health regulations
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff according to business needs
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, ingredients, equipment, etc.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a sous chef or relevant role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel
- Degree or certification in culinary arts preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, ingredients, etc.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to lead and collaborate with team members
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a hot environment

Salary: $1700 per month
