Carpenter (Contract)

We are hiring a skilled Carpenter to join our team on a contract basis in Lahore, Pakistan. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications. You will work with various types of wood and other materials to create high-quality finished products.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project requirements
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using tools such as rulers, squares, or marking gauges
- Cut and shape wood pieces using hand or power tools
- Install wooden structures such as walls, floors, frames, roof trusses, stairways, or window frames
- Repair or replace damaged wooden structures
- Inspect and maintain tools and equipment
- Follow safety procedures at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role
- Proficient in working with hand and power tools
- Knowledge of wood properties and other materials used in carpentry
- Ability to read technical documents and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical stamina to handle strenuous tasks such as lifting heavy materials or standing for long periods of time
- Good communication skills

Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A certification in carpentry or related field is preferred.

Work Environment:
As a Carpenter, you will primarily work on construction sites where you may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and harsh weather conditions. You may also work indoors in workshops or factories. The job may involve standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy materials.
