Part-Time Interpreter


We are in need of a skilled Interpreter to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages. Your main duty will be to accurately interpret spoken or written messages from one language to another, ensuring that the intended meaning and tone are conveyed accurately.

To excel in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as fluency in at least two languages, including English. You should also have a deep understanding of cultural differences and be able to navigate potentially sensitive or complex conversations with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
- Listen carefully to speakers, interpreting their message accurately and without omitting any details
- Translate written documents from one language to another
- Convey the tone and context of the original message in the translated version
- Assist with live interpretation during meetings, conferences or events
- Research terminology specific to each industry or subject matter before interpreting
- Remain impartial and objective while interpreting even if you disagree with the content of the discussion
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Keep up-to-date with industry terminology and technological advancements related to interpretation

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as an Interpreter or similar role
- Fluency in at least two languages, including English (additional languages are a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Excellent memory retention and note-taking skills
- Knowledge of cultural differences and sensitivity when communicating across cultures
- Familiarity with translation software is preferred but not required

This is a part-time position located in Khanpur. As this is not a full-time role, no accommodation will be provided. Candidates must have their own visa allowing them to work part-time.
