Back-End Developer

As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying the server-side of web applications. You will work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining efficient and reliable server-side code, while also collaborating with the rest of the development team to design and implement new features.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop efficient and scalable server-side code for web applications
- Work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Troubleshoot issues and provide timely solutions to ensure smooth operation of web applications
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in back-end development

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Strong understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby on Rails
- Experience working with databases such as MySQL or MongoDB
- Knowledge of web servers like Apache or Nginx
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred:
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies like AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of DevOps tools like Git or Jenkins

Location: This position is based in Lisbon but we welcome candidates from all nationalities who are willing to relocate.

Salary: Starting salary for this position is 1500$. Salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
