Junior Preservation Architect
As a Junior Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, designing, and execution of preservation projects for historic buildings and structures in Lisbon. This is an entry-level position suitable for recent graduates or individuals with little to no experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting site surveys and assessments to identify preservation needs
- Collaborate with senior architects to develop preservation plans and designs
- Prepare detailed drawings, models, and documents for proposed projects
- Conduct research on historic materials, construction techniques, and architectural styles
- Assist in coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure project specifications are met
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior architects
- Ensure compliance with local preservation laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field (recent graduates are welcome)
- Knowledge of preservation principles, techniques, and materials
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software
- Strong research skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Biometric passport (if not a Portuguese national)
This is a full-time position with a salary of 1400$ per month. We offer opportunities for growth and development within our firm. We also welcome students who are looking for part-time work or internships in the field of preservation architecture.
