Preservation Architect (Part-Time)


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team on a part-time basis in Lisbon. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving, restoring, and rehabilitating historic buildings and structures while adhering to preservation standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic structures to determine preservation needs
- Develop preservation plans and strategies for the restoration and rehabilitation of buildings
- Collaborate with other architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure preservation guidelines are followed
- Monitor construction progress and provide guidance on preserving original features
- Review proposed changes or additions to historic structures and ensure they maintain the integrity of the building
- Research historical documents and materials to inform restoration efforts
- Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations on preservation projects

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture with a focus on Historic Preservation
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in historic preservation projects
- Extensive knowledge of preservation standards, guidelines, and techniques
- Strong understanding of architectural history and styles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Attention to detail and strong project management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position requiring approximately 20 hours per week. The working schedule can be flexible based on candidate availability. This position does not include accommodation or visa sponsorship.

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1000 per month.
