Dietitian vacancy in Lisbon Portugal

Registered Dietitian - Full Time

As a Registered Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based nutrition therapy and counseling to patients in a clinical setting. Your main duties will include assessing patient nutritional needs, developing personalized meal plans, and monitoring patient progress. You will also be responsible for educating patients on healthy eating habits and managing chronic conditions through diet. This is a full-time position based in Lisbon, with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutrition assessments and develop individualized meal plans for patients based on their medical history and dietary needs
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to meal plans
- Provide nutrition counseling to patients on healthy eating habits, weight management, and chronic disease management
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Stay up-to-date with current research and practices in the field of dietetics
- Maintain accurate records of patient appointments, assessments, and progress

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in dietetics or a related field
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a dietitian in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of evidence-based nutrition therapy and counseling techniques
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate and counsel patients from diverse backgrounds
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Portuguese is a plus)

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1100 per month.

Location:
This position is based in Lisbon, Portugal.
