Head Baker


We are in search of a skilled and creative Head Baker to join our team in Lisbon. As the Head Baker, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our bakery operations, from creating new recipes to managing inventory and ensuring high-quality products are consistently produced. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a strong attention to detail, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Develop new recipes and create unique and delicious baked goods
- Oversee the production process to ensure quality standards are met
- Train and supervise other bakers in techniques, recipes, and safety procedures
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area according to health codes
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust as needed for optimal baking results
- Collaborate with management on menu development and pricing strategies

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef, preferably in a leadership role
- Knowledge of various baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to create new recipes while also following established ones accurately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality standards
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred
- Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs), bend, knead dough, etc.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary: $1700/month
