IT Manager - Funchal, Portugal


We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's information technology systems and operations. This includes managing a team of IT professionals, implementing and maintaining software and hardware systems, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our network.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the company's information technology systems
- Manage a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and system efficiency
- Monitor and maintain software and hardware systems, including troubleshooting any issues that arise
- Manage the company's network infrastructure to ensure connectivity and data flow between departments
- Stay informed about new technologies and make recommendations for system upgrades or improvements
- Collaborate with other departments to identify their technology needs and implement solutions accordingly
- Manage the budget for IT expenses, including equipment purchases and maintenance contracts

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in an information technology management role
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
- Experience with software implementation and maintenance (e.g. ERP systems)
- Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols and data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR)
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus)

Salary:
$1300 per month
