IT Manager


We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our dynamic team in Funchal, Portugal. As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our company's information technology systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IT strategies to support the company's goals and objectives
- Manage and lead a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems and infrastructure
- Ensure data security and protection by implementing appropriate measures and protocols
- Monitor system performance to identify potential issues and implement solutions to ensure maximum efficiency
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of system failures or disasters
- Stay updated with new technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement within the company's IT infrastructure

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in managing a team of IT professionals
- Strong knowledge of network administration, database management, cloud computing, and cybersecurity principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Portuguese is a plus
