We are a growing IT company seeking a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Funchal. This is a part-time position with a salary of 1700$. As our Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our network and systems infrastructure. This includes ensuring the security, stability, and performance of our network, servers, and applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in networking, server administration, and troubleshooting. A degree in computer science or related field is preferred but not required. As a Network and Systems Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

- Configuring and maintaining network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls
- Monitoring network performance and identifying any issues or bottlenecks
- Installing and configuring server operating systems such as Windows Server or Linux
- Managing virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues on servers and workstations
- Implementing security measures to protect against cyber threats
- Performing regular backups of critical systems
- Collaborating with other IT team members to plan for future infrastructure needs
- Providing technical support to end-users as needed
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in networking and systems administration

Qualifications:

- Experience working as a network or systems administrator preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Familiarity with server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux)
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Good understanding of cybersecurity principles
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
