Contract JAVA Developer (Funchal, Portugal)


We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced JAVA Developer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis in Funchal, Portugal. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining JAVA-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of JAVA programming language and experience with various frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop JAVA-based applications according to project requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality software solutions
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing software applications
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Stay updated on new technologies and industry developments to continuously improve our software products
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that follows coding standards
- Test and document software functionality

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 3 years of experience as a JAVA Developer
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Experience with various JAVA frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, etc.
- Familiarity with web development technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a plus
- Knowledge of database design and SQL queries is preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus)
