Android Developer


We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our dynamic team in Funchal. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for our clients. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will also be working closely with the design team to ensure a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by QA or users
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Stay updated on emerging trends in mobile application development

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Proven working experience in Android app development
- Strong knowledge of Java and Android SDK
- Experience working with remote data via RESTful APIs
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs
- Knowledge of SQLite database management
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Salary:
This position offers a competitive salary of $1000 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Funchal. Candidates must have their own visa or work permit for Portugal.
