Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality Developer
We are seeking a talented VR/AR Developer to join our team in Funchal. As a VR/AR Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing immersive and interactive virtual and augmented reality experiences. This is a full-time job with a starting salary of $1600 per month, with the possibility of visa sponsorship for non-native employees.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
- Strong knowledge of Unity or Unreal Engine
- Experience with C#, C++ or other programming languages
- Experience with VR/AR development tools such as Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, ARKit or ARCore
- Familiarity with 3D modeling and animation software (e.g. Maya, 3ds Max)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop interactive virtual and augmented reality experiences using Unity or Unreal Engine
- Collaborate with designers and artists to create immersive environments and user interfaces
- Write clean, efficient code to implement game mechanics, user interactions, audio and visual effects
- Optimize performance for various VR/AR platforms
- Test and debug applications to ensure smooth operation on different devices
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the VR/AR industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in VR/AR development is a plus but not required
- Experience in mobile app development is a plus
- Passion for gaming or creating immersive experiences
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies
