Contract Civil Engineer

As a Contract Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various construction projects in Funchal. Your main responsibilities will include conducting site surveys, preparing project plans, coordinating with contractors and suppliers, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. This is a contract position, so you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with different timelines and challenges.

To excel in this role, you should have a degree in civil engineering or a related field and a strong understanding of construction principles and practices. While experience is not required, it would be beneficial to have some knowledge or exposure to the construction industry. You should also have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys to gather information for project planning
- Prepare project plans and timelines
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
- Oversee the construction process to ensure compliance with design specifications
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary
- Communicate regularly with team members and stakeholders regarding project updates
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- Strong understanding of construction principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with construction software is a plus

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1700$ per month.

Location:
This position is based in Funchal, but may require travel to different project sites within the city.
