Excavator Operator

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy construction equipment, including excavators, to assist with various projects such as digging trenches, loading materials, and leveling terrain. You should have a minimum of 2 years of experience operating excavators and possess a valid excavator operator license. The ideal candidate will also have strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. This is a contract position with a salary of $1500 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators and other heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors
- Dig trenches, load materials, and level terrain as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on job sites

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating excavators in a construction setting
- Valid excavator operator license
- Ability to read and understand project plans and instructions
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred:
- Experience operating other heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers or loaders
- Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures for heavy equipment
