Temporary Executive Chef

We are seeking a skilled Executive Chef to join our team in Funchal for a temporary position. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our establishment and ensuring high-quality food and service for our guests. This is a temporary position with the opportunity for extension based on performance.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
- Create innovative menus and recipes
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain budgetary guidelines and control costs
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a similar setting
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, menu development, and food sanitation standards
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Creative mindset with a passion for culinary arts
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary: $1000/month (negotiable based on experience)
