Job Title: Carpenter


We are in need of an experienced Carpenter to join our team in Funchal. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood and wallboard. You will work closely with our team to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine project requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, plywood or wallboard
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim etc.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures
- Repair or renovate existing structures as needed
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Ensure all work is completed according to building codes and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean working environment

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter with a minimum of 3 years in the field
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings and specifications
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools
- Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations
- Attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job including lifting heavy materials
- Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1000 per month for this full-time position.

Location:
This position is located in Funchal but we welcome applicants from all nationalities.

Accommodation:
This is a full-time position without accommodation provided. Applicants must have their own housing arrangements in Funchal.
