Experienced Gardener in Funchal, Portugal



We are seeking an experienced Gardener to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and caring for the gardens of our clients in the city. This is a contract job with visa sponsorship available, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working as a Gardener, preferably in a professional setting. You should have a strong understanding of different plant species and their care requirements, as well as experience with landscaping and maintaining outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
- Planting, pruning, and watering various plants and trees according to their specific needs
- Maintaining the overall health and appearance of gardens by removing weeds, pests, and dead plants
- Designing and implementing new landscaping projects for clients
- Operating and maintaining gardening equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers
- Keeping track of inventory for gardening supplies and making recommendations for purchases when needed
- Communicating with clients to understand their preferences and address any concerns regarding their gardens

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification; additional education in horticulture or landscaping is preferred
- Proven experience working as a Gardener in a professional setting
- Knowledge of different plant species and their care requirements
- Ability to operate gardening equipment effectively and safely
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and work well within a team environment
