Concierge for a Luxury Hotel in Funchal, Portugal



We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Concierge to join our team at a luxury hotel in Funchal, Portugal. As the first point of contact for guests, the Concierge will be responsible for providing exceptional service and ensuring that all guests have a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly attitude
- Provide information about the hotel's facilities, services, and amenities
- Assist guests with booking reservations for dining, spa treatments, or other activities
- Arrange transportation for guests, including airport transfers or car rentals
- Offer recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and events
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally
- Maintain knowledge of current events and activities happening in Funchal
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experience
- Ensure that all guest requests are fulfilled in a timely manner

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications will be a plus
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality industry preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is an asset
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service and handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Familiarity with Funchal's attractions, restaurants, and events is preferred but not required
- Must have own visa or work permit to work legally in Portugal

Salary: 1300$ per month.
