Concierge

The role of a Concierge is to provide exceptional customer service and assistance to guests at a hotel, apartment complex, or other similar establishment. As a Concierge, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests, ensuring their needs are met and any issues or concerns are addressed promptly.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests upon arrival and providing them with information about the establishment and its amenities
- Assisting guests with check-in and check-out processes
- Responding to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Making reservations for dining, entertainment, transportation, or other services as requested by guests
- Providing recommendations and information about local attractions, events, and activities
- Ensuring the lobby area is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times
- Coordinating with other departments to fulfill guest requests or resolve issues
- Maintaining accurate records of guest interactions and transactions

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management is preferred
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality industry is an advantage but not required
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal); knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Working Conditions:
This position may require working on weekends, holidays or evenings. You may also be required to stand for extended periods of time.

Salary:
The starting salary for this position is $1600 per month.

This position is located in Funchal.
